Training FAQs

How can I pay for my class?

For Government of Canada and corporate clients, we usually invoice after the class on NET 30 terms. If you prefer to pay by credit card, you will be able to do so as well. If you have any questions please contact us at 1.800.906.0605.


Where are you located?

Our executive training centre is located at 37 Clarence street in the Byward Market (Ottawa), second floor right above Felina's Cantina. We are just a few minutes walk from the Rideau Centre and most landmarks like The National Gallery of Canada, the Parliament, and the Rideau Canal.


What are the class times?

Classes start at 9 AM and run to 4:00 PM. We will try to make changes upon request to better suit our students work schedules (i.e. summer working hours). Private classes are based on the students schedule and worked out ahead of time.


Where do I park?

Parking is available right across our training centre at $10/day. There are plenty of alternatives as well, including a parking structure about 50 feet away at the corner of Clarence and ByWard street.


What happens if I find I can't attend a class after I have registered?

Full refunds are given on cancellation received 10 working days before the course. Alternatively, you can transfer to a later course date or you can substitute a colleague or friend; just advise our course administrator. Unfortunately refunds cannot be given if the cancellation is made within 4 working days of the course, but a credit will be given on a future class.


What is I need help after the class?

All courses include Red Rocket's Free Post Training Support Program. Students are provided with unlimited phone and e-mail support for issues concerning modules covered in their course. In addition to ongoing support, all students taking a public class are invited to attend the same class free of charge within one calendar year to refresh their skills. Students will also have access to online tips specific to their courses and will be informed via e-mail when new tips are available that are relevant to their interests.


Where can I get a Hotel or B+B near the Red Rocket Ottawa Training Centre?

We have a preferred rate for any students staying at The Westin Ottawa. Prices start as low as $119 per night.


I'd like to bring my lunch, what's available on-site?

A refrigerator as well as a microwave is available for student use. We recommend exploring the ByWard Market while you're here, but you can also pick up something and eat in our student lounge.


What material is provided with the courses?

Course attendees will be provided with a book, handouts, relevant material and note paper. For certain classes, class material is provided in searchable PDF format on a 2 GB USB drive.


Are there certificates given for the courses?

Yes. All course attendees will be issued a certificate of completion.


Is there wheelchair access to all areas?

No. Arrangements can be make to hold the class at alternate accessible facilities or on-site at no extra charge.
